MICCI is the first International Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia.

It traces its history to the formation in 1837 of its senior ancestor, the Penang Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture.

Following amalgamation with the Perak Chamber and the Selangor Chamber early this century, the enlarged Chamber was restructured in 1974 as a company limited by guarantee and renamed the Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MICCI).
