[PM Media Statement] Inbound Quarantine 7 days now - announced on 15th October 2021

On 15th October 2021, the Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, who is also Chairman of the Pandemic Management Special Committee, released a Media Statement on the Phase Transition and SOP Relaxations.
Effective 18th October 2021, the following states will move into Phase 3: Kelantan, Perak, Penang, Sabah and Kedah.
Melaka and Klang Valley (WP Putrajaya, WP Kuala Lumpur, Selangor) will transition from Phase 3 to Phase 4.
There will also be a shortened Period of Surveillance and Observation Order for travellers from abroad effective on Monday, 18th October 2021:
i. 7-day quarantine period at home (if applicable) or quarantine station for travellers who are fully vaccinated,
ii. 10-day quarantine period at the quarantine station for travellers who are not/incompletely vaccinated.
Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE) are allowed to be held face-to-face, involving individuals who have been fully vaccinated, effective 18th October 2021, in the National Recovery Plan (NRP) Phase 3 states with certain conditions.
