[HIGHLIGHTS] MICCIs Virtual 48th Annual General Meeting 2021

On 28th September 2021, the Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MICCI) hosted our virtual 48th Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2021.
In attendance were 60 people including MICCIs General Committee (GENCO), members and management. It was a smooth sailing session which was hosted by our Executive Director, Mr. Shaun Cheah who spoke about the work done by our chamber this past year.
During this AGM, the formation of the new GENCO that would represent MICCI was announced as some board members were stepping down.
Our esteemed President Datuk Tan Cheng Kiat, who completed his term, will be passing on this role to his successor. He valiantly navigated MICCI through this turbulent time during the pandemic.
The incomparable Ms. Christina Tee will be taking over as President of MICCI. She previously served as one of the three Vice Presidents of MICCI. Joining her in the Vice President roles are Mr. Stuart Milne, Dato’ Azman Shah Mohd Yusof and Ms. Renuka Indrarajah - all of whom have served on the board.
The rest of the GENCO consists of Datuk Seri Panglima Wong Khen Thau, Mr. Lee Ting Kiat, Dato’ Lim Si Boon, Mr. Lim Chong Ling, Mr. Michel Van Combrugge, Ybhg Dato’ Sasedharan Vasudevan, Tan Sri Michael Yeoh Oon Kheng, Dato’ Andy Choong Kar Foo, Mr. Punniamoorthy N., Dr. Loi Kheng Min, Datuk Lee Swi Heng, Mr. Benedict Palvendran, Ms. Norain binti Abu Talib, Datuk Dr. Philip Ting, Mr. Tay Beng Chai, Mr Calvin Yau Yin Wee, and Mr Shahrul Shaari.
MICCI would like to take this opportunity to thank these former GENCO members for their service: Mr Kelvin Kee - who will now serve as one of the Vice-Chairs on MICCIs Central Branch committee; Mr Freddie Lee Ah Choy; and Tuan Haji Salikon - who will be leading MICCIs NexGen Programme in Johor.
