MICCI 52nd Annual General Meeting (AGM)

The Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MICCI) successfully convened its 52nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday, 19th June 2025 at the Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel & Convention Centre. This annual gathering served as a pivotal platform for MICCI members to deliberate on governance matters, review the Chamber’s direction, and elect its leadership for the 2025/2026 term.
The AGM began with the presentation and adoption of the MICCI Annual Report and Audited Financial Statements for the year ended 31 December 2024. Members also approved the reappointment of the Chamber’s external auditors for the 2025 financial year. A key highlight was the election of new General Committee (GENCO) members, reflecting MICCI’s commitment to transparent and forward-looking leadership.
A special presentation also featured as part of the programme, delivered by Mr. Pushpan Murugiah, Chief Executive Officer of The Centre to Combat Corruption and Cronyism (C4 Centre). His address explored the impact of systemic corruption on national institutions, business confidence, and economic resilience, while calling for stronger private sector commitment to integrity and accountability.
